Wednesday Reflection
Busy day number 2! Are you overwhelmed yet? The tools are cool but using them within your content instruction is really the trick. Today as a reflection tell us how you think you can integrate some of this technology into your teaching. Also we still love feedback so if there is anything you liked or anything you'd like to see us change let us know!

I have really appreciated the time to work. I would also affirm the small numbers in the class. None of us have needed to wait long to receive help. Thank you so much! Jennifer Wright
ReplyDeleteI plan to use wikis for organizing library research for students and for an interactive internet evaluation. I want to try to use twitter to find new resources and collaborate with other librarians. I will be using Delicious to organize my bookmarks. Debbie
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed today's content and appreciate the time to update my Claroline blog. I also learned how to improve my blog and make it even more user friendly for my students. Thanks everyone for the great ideas!

I spent some quality time with Diana learning some ins and outs of mimio and downloading some lessons available online. My team teacher and I have also been brainstorming how clickers can revolutionize our introductory and review activities! Thanks for the time to work!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the time to work this afternoon. It was really fun to learn about all the cool tools that come with the SMARTboard! I enjoyed working on my own project, but then helping others and creating a project with another teacher that works for both of our second grade classrooms. Working together and sharing material is a great tool to benefit us and our classroom. In my classroom, I use my document camera and smartboard all the time. My kids love it! (I also enjoyed tweeting today :-) - Jeremy
ReplyDeleteAs stated by everyone else so far, I have loved the time to work, explore, expand, and set up new projects. Everyone has been most helpful. The access to a laptop, internet, and personal support is an "out of this world" experience. Collaborating with other people who are interested in the same types of programs as well as the same type of grade level projects have been really helpful. We're learning together, sharing together, and connecting our ideas! I've branched out and connected in Twitter. I'm really enjoying the blog and would like to set up a blog spot with my teammates. The Smartboard updates are incredible!!!!
ReplyDeleteRereading the question and wondering if I answered. The Smartboard activities support every area of learning. The document camera really lends itself to math lessons as well as science with observations. I can't wait to video on the document station!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to have time to preview things that are already available to use on the SMARTboard. I also enjoyed time to explore the SMARTboard tools and to THINK about how to integrate things in my classroom.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking my goal will be to begin using the SMARTboard day 1 of school. I will use the calculator to show my children how to use punch in their lunch numbers (MODEL). I will also use my Avermedia camera to show a movie from United Streaming about the first day of school.
I am having a great time! Joan
This camp is great because you not only teach us some really amazing things that we can use, but you give us time to try it out, help us when we make mistakes, figure out problems and then make it possible for us to have the knowledge that we can go out there and do it on our own! Thanks!

As a tech specialist I look forward to sharing thinkfinity, google earth applications and
ReplyDeletesolo ideas. I was excited to learn about all the web 2.0 features. They were all new to me. Now, I can talk to KES staff about these sites and how they could use them or just what they can and cannot do. Thanks for all the ideas and information! Mary Anne
