I really enjoyed today. I gave me time to focus on technology and think about how I would use it in my classroom.
I learned how to make movies with a Flip! I learned about Delicious and am looking forward to moving my portaportal into the social bookmarking sight. I also used Wiki for the first time so I hear I am officially a blogger.
I think you are doing a great job and I am looking forward to learning more new things tomorrow. The pace is just right and relaxing to promote "time to think and have time to apply".
I learned about delicious, wiki and diigo. I now know what "Web02" means. The food was great! Will we learn about clickers, responders, or prs systems? It was interesting to learn how to use an ipod in a school setting. I never knew there were so many uses for the flip camera. Thanks to the ITRTs for all your time and creativity! Mary Anne
I think it would be helpful to know what the focus will be for each day. Kim told me that we will work with SmartNotebook tomorrow. I will think overnight how I want to improve on SmartBoard in my classroom. I learned how to set up an electronic gradebook today which was exciting to me. I learned also what web2.0 means. Jennifer Wright
Tech Camp has certainly blasted off! The energy and enthusiasm that ITRTs have should be bottled! You have expanded my horizons(to keep with the space theme...)with the many capabilities and applications of of wikis, blogs, delicious and flip cameras. It will take some time to digest all the information and become proficient with it, but to know it is "out there" is huge. I think it is nice to focus on a few areas each day, otherwise it could all become very overwhelming.
It was very interesting to learn that there is a new level of Web using. Learning that a Web 2.0 user interacts with wikis, blogs, and podcasting has been most informative especially since I just sent my first blog! I know that technology is for any age, but I would be interested in some targeted age groups for certain activities -blogging, wikis, and podcasting. Also, what is safe to post. Regulations with children in videoes and pictures? Just review. I need to here it again. The pacing was good and did allow for time to explore and work! Thanks for keeping technology - fun and on the forefront!!!!
Today was a very good day! I learned about Twitter, Clickers, Document cameras, and Read Outloud. I'm in the process of putting together ideas for instruction this fall. M. Foster
It was a very informative day - and best of all, a lot of fun! If only all workshops were like this!! Thanks for a great first day. Morina

ReplyDeleteToday was great. We learned a lot of new information and had a lot of time to practice and work "hands on" to better understand everything.
